• BEL has been exporting Defense Communication equipment, Night Vision Devices, Automatic Identification System, Coastal Surveillance Systems, Radars, Sonars, Radar Warning System, Radar Finger Printing System, EVMs, Casings, Stators, Electro Mechanical parts, Shelters etc. to friendly countries.
• The long term export plan of BEL is to reach sustained export sales to total sales turnover ratio of 10% from the current value of 7.3%.
• BEL participates in International Exhibitions to showcase its products & capabilities and for brand awareness among global supply chain partners.
• BEL publishes periodic advertisements in international defense/magazines / periodicals / journals to enhance the visibility of BEL.
• BEL has identified the market segments and has a structured market plan for its products and systems.
• BEL is fast expanding its global presence, putting its best foot forward to give a thrust to exports worldwide, especially South East Asian counties. Spotting a niche market in Vietnam, BEL has now set up its first Representative Office at Vietnam (VIRO) for addressing export business opportunities and provide unstinted product support and services to users in that country
• BEL has appointed representatives in different overseas territories for marketing its products and systems.
• BEL is focusing on the opportunities with OEMs to meet their offset obligations in various RFPs of MOD, on account of the “Offset” policy incorporated in Defence Procurement Procedure (DPP).
• BEL has also identified contract manufacturing (both build to print and build to specs) as one of the areas to address the emerging opportunities with OEMs.
