The Central Research Laboratory (CRL) serves as the nucleus of BEL’s research and development activities, spearheading efforts to innovate and develop cutting-edge technologies that meet the evolving requirements of India’s defense forces and other strategic sectors.

CRL’s focus spans both foundational and applied research, aiming to craft pioneering solutions that tackle complex challenges in defense and related fields. The lab’s breakthroughs significantly enrich BEL’s product offerings, bolstering its capability to provide high-performance, reliable, and cost-effective solutions to its customers. Beyond its technological contributions, CRL is instrumental in cultivating talent and fostering a culture of innovation within BEL, ensuring the company’s sustained leadership in defense electronics.

  • The primary goal of the Central Research Laboratory (CRL-Bg) is to establish Bharat Electronics as a fountainhead of electronics technology, thereby enhancing its leadership position within the Indian electronics industry and positioning it as a major international electronics company.
