The AK630 system consists of a 30mm automatic gun mount remotely controlled from the radar fire control system and is intended for arming the ships for annihilation and destruction of antiship missiles, aircraft, small-size seaborne surface targets and fire emplacements of the enemy on the coast. The Drive System of AK630M gun mount is meant to position the gun in azimuth and elevation in accordance with the command from the fire director system or the stand by control post.
