BEL is collaborating with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, Research Design and Standards Organisation (R&D organisation of Indian Railways), National Capital Region Transport Corporation and various public/private organisations in the area of Indigenous Automatic Train Supervision ( i-ATS) System, Mission Critical Communication System, Composite panel, Platform Screen Doors etc.
The NCMC-compliant AFC gating system executed by BEL will be implemented across all modes of transportation i.e. Metro, trains or buses in a phased manner. Platform Screen Doors (PSD)
BEL in collaboration with industry partner is working on projects like LTE-R,i-CBTC (Communication based train control systems) Super supervisory control & data acquisition (SCADA), Automatic Fare Collection Gates ( AFC), Train Collision Avoidance System (TCAS) etc.
Indigenous Automatic Train supervision System (i-ATS), indigenously Designed and Developed by DMRC and BEL.
First Command control and Live Monitoring facility for Metro Trains/Main Line Railway designed and developed in India. This system provides automatic local and central control and monitoring of train operations and signaling equipment.
i-ATS system logs each train movement, equipment status and displays it on the workstations and Large video Screen (LVS) at the Operations Control Centre (OCC) with Traffic Controller and at Station Control Room (SCR) with Station Controller. Development process of i-ATS is compliant to and certified for safety integrity level-2 (SIL-2) as per EN 50126, EN50128 and EN50129 standards.
Indigenously developed Rolling Stock Driver Training Simulator (RSDTS) for imparting training to Rolling Stock Drivers and test their driving and diagnostic skills. The RSDTS Consists of 1 Driving Simulator Workstation (DSW), 1 Observer Station (OBS) and 1 Instructor Workstation (IWS).

DMRC is using Multiple SCADA systems for operation optimization and each has own proprietary Architecture, Management, Maintenance workflow and they work in silos. Super SCADA is envisaged to integrate diagnostic and maintenance activities of multiple SCADA systems to a common platform with AI and Data Analysis capabilities. This system will improve the operating efficiency of DMRC by automating the workflow and ensuring improved MTBF by automatic fault reporting and Job card assignment to technicians resulting in optimal usage of human resource.
