The ATDS Maareech system was developed by DRDO Labs (NPOL & NSTL) with BEL as the production agency for ASW and Non ASW platforms. The equipment is one of its kind state-of-the-art Torpedo Defence system for combat platforms of Indian Navy, developed first time in our country and also one of the countries in top first five who has developed such a system with all features encompassing SONAR, FCS and Countermeasures. The system broadly includes onboard electronics (SONAR & FCS), Towed Array, Decoy Launcher, Winch and Expendable Decoy.
