DIU Interfaces between two cockpits and Digital Flight Control Computer (DFCC) for Trainer version of Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) aircraft.

Basically, this unit performs wired OR functions for the discrete signals received from both cockpits and feeds to DFCC. Also, the discrete outputs from DFCC are fed to both the cockpits

The DIU is interfaced with Control Stick Discrete (CSD), Auto Pilot Panel (APP), Central Warning Panel (CWP) and Main Instrument Panel (MIP)
