Digital Flight Control Computer (DFCC) is a quad redundant flight critical and main LRU, for Digital Fly-By-Wire Flight Control System of delta-winged, multi-role, supersonic, Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) – Indian Tejas.
DFCC controls the entire operation of flight control system in LCA and meets the stringent functional and technology requirement to achieve high reliability and safety.
DFCC computes control surface commands based on control law. It drives the control surface actuators and hence controlling the aircraft. Also, it receives aircraft sensor inputs and pilot’s inputs such as control stick, rudder pedal, trim inputs, etc. and processes them.
DFCC comprises of the following modules such as –
Analog 1 and 2 Modules: They provide drive/ interfaces for Primary and Secondary Actuators, Sensors, Cockpit controls and indicators.
Power Supply Module: It provides DC power to internal circuits and sensor units.
Motherboard and Flex PCBs: They provide external interface to the rear panel connectors inter-connection with the motherboard through flex circuitry.
