The M180 Fuze is a time-gated Electronic Proximity Fuze used for artillery gun ammunition. This Fuze is available in 3 variables suitable for 3 types of gun calibres namely 105MM (Mode-3), 130MM (Mode-2) and 155 MM (Mode-1).
The fuze can be used with High- Explosive (HE) projectiles. The Fuze operates under all weather conditions and is highly immune to atmospherics and electronic counter measure. The PD mode forms a standard back-up to the proximity mode.

- Modes: Fuze has two modes of operation: Proximity and Point Detonation Super Quick (PDSQ)
- Fuze Safety Distance: Min 100 meters from Muzzle End
- Functioning:
- Proximity: Fuze allows the HE shell to burst in the air at the desired height of 10±6 m in low angle
- PDSQ : Fuze capable to function on impact of a surface target
- Fuze Setting arrangements: Fuze setting from 3 sec (±0.2sec) to 190 sec with minimum increment of 0.1 sec
- Shelf Life: Min 15 years under sheltered storage
- Safety: As per MIL-STD-1316E and STANAG 4187
