FCS FOR KAVACH MOD II

Product category :Naval Systems

KAVACH Mod II Fire Control System is the State-of-the Art Chaff decoy system with built-in intelligence to counter the threat of various anti-ship missiles. It is designed for protection of ships from enemy’s radar surveillance and attack. KAVACH system creates a false target by launching a rocket to deliver chaff made of silver coated glass fiber. During enemy’s surveillance and attack, the chaff will be misinterpreted as a target and hence protect the ship. The Fire control system of KAVACH MOD II plays a pivotal role in controlling the rotation of the launchers and firing of selected chaff rockets from the launcher tubes. It interfaces with other subsystems on-board ship to collect various ships and target data on a continuous basis.

FCS FOR KAVACH MOD-II CONSISTS OF THE FOLLOWING SUB UNITS:

  • MAIN FIRE CONTROL SYSTEM (MFCS) – 1 no
  • LAUNCHER CONTROL UNIT (LCU) – 4 nos
  • REMOTE FIRE CONTROL SYSTEM (RFCS) – 1 no

SALIENT FEATURES:

  • Target Acquirement – Acquire Target, Ship, and Wind related parameters from various subsystems and display vital parameters.
  • Threat Detection and Management – Identify threats, use suitable mode of operation and suggest best rockets to be used. Calculate the required training and elevation angles for neutralizing the threats.
  • Emergency mode of operation – During emergency condition rockets can be launched without any interlock interruption.
  • High Accuracy Positioning – Position the launchers with high accuracy and the encoder feedback about the launcher position will be displayed on the status display of the system.

APPLICATIONS:
