The 5KW HF Radio system is a single unit rack based solution for medium and long range communication in HF frequency band. The radio operates in the frequency range of 1.5MHz to 30 MHz and can vary the output power based on the requirement. The radio supports two variants – 1KW & 5KW.
System is capable of voice and data communication with advanced features based on current software defined technology (SDR) and highly configurable to support upcoming HF requirements in the future.
The radio system features advanced 2nd, 3rd and 4th generation ALE for Automatic Link Establishment and wideband data communication capability utilizing 24 KHz of bandwidth and up to 120 kbps of speed. The radio can be operated remotely using an RCU (Remote Control Unit) via Ethernet. The radio is protected and tested against High VSWR and thermal runaway faults.
