ICPS for MBT ARJUN MK I A

ICPS for MBT ARJUN MK I A

Product category :Tank & Armoured Fighting Vehicle Electronic Systems

The Indigenous Commander’s Panoramic Sight (ICPS) is designed to provide a stabilized line-of-sight (LOS) to carry out surveillance over n x 360 degrees in azimuth and over -13° to +40°(settable) in elevation during Day and Night. The ICPS is a gyro-stabilized panoramic Sight used for surveillance, targets acquisition & designation, command and control fire power in both day and night conditions. The ICPS adopts the open architecture concept which provides a plug-and play configuration that enables it to accommodate in a variety of platforms. The available wide range of electrical interface standards that are catered on the ICPS allows a lean & straightforward platform interface.

Configuration:

The ICPS comprises of the following major sub-systems

  • Sight Head Assembly (SHA) include:
    •  An eye-safe LRF
    • Combined Day and TI camera with continuous zoom
  • Sight System Electronics (SSE)
  • Display and Control Unit.
  • Power Conditioning Module.
  • Set of Interconnecting cables.

The broad functional details of ICPS modules are as follows:

  1. Sight Head Assembly (SHA) houses the Azimuth & Elevation gimbals along with the Day & TI camera.
  2. Commander’s Sight Electronics Unit (SSE) for the sight control, system management and interface with the GMS & GCS.
  3. Display and Control unit (DCU), providing to the commander a Man Machine Interface (M.M.I) and display of the thermal imager/Day TV image.
  4. Power conditioning module (PCM), is used to provide a stabilized power input to the ICPS. The PCM derives the unregulated input power from the backup battery and distributes a regulated output to the ICPS sub-units.
  5. Interconnecting Cable Set (ICS), for connecting various units within the system and for interconnecting with other sub systems of the tank.

Key Features:

  • Panoramic surveillance over nX360°
  • Hunter-killer operation
  • Engagement in static as well as in dynamic condition during day and night
  • Reduced reaction time
  • External Armor Protection
  • Compliant with Environmental Specifications MIL-STD-810F
  • Compliant with EMI/EMC MIL-STD-461E
