IP modem is a device to connect two IP networks seamlessly over LoS/Satellite link. The modem uses latest dvb-s2 technology to provide best use of link bandwidth. Latest generation of FEC codes like LDPC and bch are used to provide better link margin compared to earlier generation codes of RS Viterbi.
Automatic coding and modulation (ACM) feature ensure BEL IP modem operates at the most optimal configuration under all channel conditions. Propitiatory return channel enables quick and easy access of remote IP modem status even in the absence of NMS terminal. Faster Roll-Off rates as low as 0.20 are supported for better channel utilization.
The modem operates directly at L-Band frequencies and can be used for any operating band such as C, KU etc. by use of an appropriate BUC and LNBC. The modem works in Layer-II bridge mode to connect two diverse networks at distant location with simple setup. Front panel and RS232 based controls are provided for ease of operation, SNMP for remote monitoring and configuration
