The Rugged Laptop Computer (RLTC) is designed to meet the requirements of the user in the military, industrial and other harsh environments. These requirements are achieved through appropriate engineering design. Rugged laptop computer is designed on Core I 7 system with 10/100/1000 Optical & Electrical Ethernet interface, removable hard disk, DVD R/W, 15″ LCD display interface, graphic card with 1 GB memory, Standard Qwerty keyboard and Touch pad, Modem and 2GB RAM (expandable up to 4GB).
The system operates with a nominal input of 12 V DC supply, but also has a battery back up to support the operations in the field conditions. The operating system is Windows 7/XP. In addition, provision is available for express card. Its flexible design makes upgrades and maintenance simple. With superior mechanical reliability, the RLTC is ideal for use in applications where a harsh or vibration-prone environment would prohibit the use of a standard commercial laptop computer.
