Semi – Ruggedised Automatic Exchange (SRAX MK II) Equipment is an Automatic Telephone Exchange designed to meet the communication requirement of an Army unit/formation. The Equipment supports 128 POTS Ports in addition to ISDN lines and analog & digital trunks in its main unit. The capacity can be expanded upto 512 PSTN Ports using Expansion unit. Supports for VoIP & CNR interface is also provided.

It is based on digital stored program control technology with Time Switching concept and is completely non – blocking.

This exchange is having latest features like ISDN ports and E1 trunks. It supports 180 subscriber ports out of which 64 ports can be configured for  POTS, LD, RD & CO. Remaining ports can be used as POTS. It also has 30 ISDN Ports.

In addition to above, it supports 08 E&M analog trunks and 08 E1 digital trunks.

For high system reliability, all critical elements of the eqpt such as switching matrix, control processors are duplicated to provide redundancy. Also distributed power supply scheme is used. Modular concept has been used for ease of maintenance and system capacity enhancement.

For Man Machine Interface (MMI), a Laptop PC is provided. Besides MMI, two Operator Consoles with LCD display are also provided.

The SRAX MK II is portable and designed for vehicle mounting.
