The Antenna Stabilization Platform is a two-axis electromechanical stabilization platform used to stabilize the payload against the ship roll and pitch disturbances of the sea, when mounted over the ship mast at specified height. The payload mainly consists of Antenna, azimuth drive unit, elevation mechanism, Rotary Joint, RF plumbing with sector rotary joints, cables etc. In order to maintain the line of sight of the antenna towards the target of the interest, it is necessary to maintain the Antenna in stabilized condition. The major constituents of antenna stabilization platform are: (a) Stabilization Platform (for Roll & Pitch) (b) Antenna Elevation Over Azimuth Drive System (For Antenna Tilt and Antenna Rotation) (c) Control System (d) Power distribution System.
