BEL in collaboration with NCRTC has jointly developed Indigenous Platform Screen Door (PSD) system for Metro / RRTS / High speed / mainline Railways. The elegant Platform Screen Door Systems is designed to enhance the station environment while providing a barrier to prevent access to the track. The Platform Gates (PG) system provides a barrier between the track and the platform accessible to passengers. This system will improve the safety of passengers by isolating the platforms from the track unless there is a train stopped at its correct position. The PG system comprises of Automatic Sliding Door (ASD), Fixed Door panel (FDP), Platform End Gates (PEGs), Emergency Escape Gates (EEGs) and Fixed Screens (FSs) to form a barrier along the edge of the platform adjacent to the track.
