Mr Manoj Jain, CMD, BEL, and Chairman, BELOP, received the highest dividend payout of Rs.5 Crore towards dividend for 2023-24 on August 23, 2024, from Mr Ashok K S, CEO of BEL Optronic Devices Limited (BELOP), the wholly owned subsidiary of BEL, in the presence of Mr Bhanu Prakash Srivastava, Director (OU), BEL, and Director, BELOP; Mr Damodar Bhattad, Director (Finance), BEL, and Director, BELOP; and Mrs Priya Iyer, CS & CFO, BELOP.
BEL participated in Tarang Shakti exhibition at IAF, Sulur, from August 13 to 15, 2024, on the sidelines of an international air exercise coordinated by the IAF. The Air Chiefs of Germany, Spain, France and India were present with their pilots and support staff, who also visited the exhibition stalls.
The Hon’ble Governor of Tamil Nadu, Shri R N Ravi, visited the BEL stall on August 13 and appreciated BEL’s contribution to the Indian Air Force. He evinced keen interest in our products and spent nearly 5 minutes in our stall.
Mr Sanjeev Dyamannavar, Sr DGM (Electronic Warfare & Avionics), BEL-Bengaluru, explained about the critical avionics sub-systems that BEL supplies for the Light Combat Aircraft, Tejas.
BEL showcased its wide range of offerings for the IAF and civil aviation at the exhibition.

On August 15, the exhibition was open to the public. Large crowds thronged our stall and our exhibitors explained about our products to them in layman’s language.
Mr Giridhar Aramane, IAS, Defence Secretary, today visited BEL-Chennai and reviewed the Unit’s performance. Mr Bhanu Prakash Srivastava, CMD, BEL, and other senior officers were present. The dignitary lauded BEL-Chennai’s contributions to the indigenisation of weapon systems & platforms, crucial for the success of Make in India. He emphasised vendor development and capacity development of MSMEs.

CSR: BEL- Ghaziabad signs MoU with AIIMS Delhi for new patients’ waiting lounge
BEL’s Ghaziabad Unit has signed an MoU with AIIMS Delhi for the construction of a new patients’ waiting lounge for needy patients and their attendants at an approximate cost of Rs 10 Crore. Mr Sankar Subramanian N, ED (Radar) & Unit Head of BEL-Ghaziabad, and Dr M Srinivas, Director, AIIMS Delhi, have signed the MoU on behalf of BEL and AIIMS Delhi, in the presence of senior BEL and AIIMS officers and doctors.
Due to the huge footfall at AIIMS Delhi, a patient waiting lounge had become the need of the hour. The proposed lounge would be built by BEL-Ghaziabad and maintained by AIIMS Delhi. The waiting lounge with a seating capacity of 1,000 would be constructed with pre-fabricate panels and equipped with required amenities and furnishings. BEL-Ghaziabad has contributed to CSR projects in Healthcare, Education, Sanitation, Vocational Skill Development, Assistive Devices for PWDs, War Veterans and War Widows.
BEL has won the SCOPE Excellence Award in the Special Institutional Category (Digitalisation) for the year 2016-17. The Hon’ble Vice President of India, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar, presented the award to Mr Bhanu Prakash Srivastava, CMD, BEL, and Mr Vikraman N, Director (HR), at the awards ceremony held today in New Delhi.
BEL received National Export Excellence Award 2024 given by Electronics & Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC) – First in Strategic Electronics / Defence Electronics category. The award was received by Mr H P Srinivas Rao, GM (IM), Dr Manisha Mathur, Sr DGM (IM), and Mrs Shirin Samuel, DGM (Corporate Communication), on behalf of BEL at New Delhi on January 17, 2024.
