The Multi-Function Radar (MFR) is a cost effective and cutting-edge Naval radar system that utilizes a non-rotating active phased array technology. Its four-wall configuration provides comprehensive 360-degree coverage, making it an ideal solution for surveillance, tracking, and acquisition. The MFR can be interfaced with the Weapon Control System/ Missile System and other external interfaces.

Transmit Receive Modules

X-Band 32 channel Plank designed with Gallium Nitride (GaN) Power Amplifier for better efficiency and distributed design resulting in Graceful Degradation of the system.

Data Processing

Processor along with GPGPU unit handles high-end Radar data processing along with Automatic Acquisition, multi target Tracking and Midcourse guidance to support SAMs. Also, having capabilities such as providing Target Designation data with Update rate of up to 10Hz.

Compact Line Replaceable Units

Compact design of subsystems to maintain lesser weight and for users ease of maintenance.

Frequency of operation: X Band
MFR has four phased array antennas covering 90° each to provide 360° azimuth coverage.
The elevation coverage is 0° to 70°.
MFR is based on solid state active array technology and is capable of electronic scanning in both azimuth and elevation.
Instrumented range: ≥ 200 KM in Threat Alert While Scan(TAWS) Mode and 300 KM in Long Range Search (LRS) Mode
The Radar is electronically stabilised to cater to Ship Roll and pitch.
Graceful Degradation of System Performance due to distributed design of T/R Modules.
Target designation and data to Combat Management System (CMS) and Weapon Control System (WCS).
Automatic Acquisition and dedicated tracking of air and surface targets with update rate, enables effective weapon control of Surface to Air Missiles (SAM) & Guns.
