BEL receives orders worth Rs.733 Crore

Bengaluru, February 25, 2026: Navratna Defence Public Sector Undertaking Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has secured additional orders worth Rs. 733 Cr since the last disclosure on 6th February 2026.

Major orders received include TR modules, communication equipment, encryptors, radars, jammers, software solutions, test equipment, upgrades, spares, services, etc.

BEL and SASMOS sign strategic MoU to strengthen Defence indigenisation

Bengaluru, February 19, 2026: Navratna Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) and SASMOS HET Technologies Ltd, a prominent player in the aerospace, defence and space sectors, on February 16, 2026, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on advanced defence technologies.

The MoU was exchanged by Mr Manoj Jain, CMD, BEL, and Mr HG Chandrashekar, Chairman & Managing Director of SASMOS, in the presence of Hon’ble Raksha Mantri, Shri Rajnath Singh, and Shri Sanjeev Kumar, IAS, Secretary (Defence Production).

This strategic partnership is aligned with the Government of India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat mission and focuses on co-development and co-indigenisation in key technology domains, including Fibre Optics & Photonics, Tank Electronics, Naval Systems & airborne platforms. The collaboration aims to enhance India’s aerospace and defence capabilities while expanding the export potential of indigenous products and systems.

By combining BEL’s expertise in defence electronics with SASMOS’s capabilities in fibre optics and photonics, we are confident of delivering cutting-edge, indigenous solutions that will serve both national and global requirements.”

BEL and Safran sign Joint Venture Agreement and Master Production Agreement for HAMMER Production in India

 

Bengaluru, February 17, 2026: Navratna Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) and Safran Electronics and Defense (SED), France, today signed a Joint Venture Agreement (JVA) to establish a Joint Venture Company (JVC) for the production of Highly Agile Modular Munition Extended Range (HAMMER) Smart Precision Guided Air-to-Ground Weapon in India. The operationalisation of the provisions of JVA is subject to regulatory and administrative approvals of both the countries. BEL and SED also signed a Master Production Agreement (MPA), which sets out the terms of cooperation for transfer of production of HAMMER in India.

 

The agreements were signed by Mr Manoj Jain, CMD, BEL, and Mr Alexander Ziegler Executive Vice President and Defence Director, Safran Electronics & Defense, in the presence of Shri Rajnath Singh, Hon’ble Raksha Mantri of India, and Ms Catherine Vautrin, Hon’ble Minister of the Armed Forces and Veteran Affairs of France, during the 6th India-France Annual Defence Dialogue in Bengaluru.

 

The JVC, with equal shareholding between BEL and SED, will focus on the manufacturing, supply and maintenance of HAMMER to meet the operational needs of Indian Air Force and Indian Navy. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in the spirit of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’, aiming to reduce import dependency and strengthen India’s indigenous defence capabilities.

 

The transfer of production will happen in a phased manner ensuring a stabilised production line in India. The indigenisation level will progressively increase with key sub-assemblies, electronics and mechanical parts being manufactured locally.

 

This agreement underscores BEL’s commitment to strengthening India’s defence industrial base and aims at leveraging SED’s extensive experience in manufacturing of smart precision guided air-to-ground weapon.

 

HAMMER is a combat-proven, precision-guided weapon system known for its high accuracy and modular design, making it adaptable for multiple platforms, including the Rafale and LCA Tejas.

SED has established capabilities and expertise in Smart Tactical Air to Ground Weapon: from marketing, development and manufacturing, to support during operations, of HAMMER combat proven weapon. SED is the supplier to the Indian Air Force & Indian Ministry of Defence of Hammer weapon and SIGMA95 Inertial navigation systems for Combat Aircraft, among many other military equipment.

Hon’ble Raksha Mantri Inaugurates Centre of Excellence for AI in BEL

Bengaluru, February 16, 2026: The Hon’ble Raksha Mantri (RM), Shri Rajnath Singh, visited Navratna Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) in Bengaluru on February 16, 2026.

 

The Hon’ble Raksha Mantri remotely inaugurated the Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Artificial Intelligence (CoE-AI) located in Pune and formally launched the company’s Artificial Intelligence Policy.

 

During the visit to BEL’s Bengaluru Complex, the Hon’ble Raksha Mantri launched the Mountain Fire Control Radar of BEL. He also inaugurated the Missile Integration facility at BEL-Bengaluru and flagged off the Akash 3rd and 4th Regiment Combat systems.

 

The Hon’ble RM was briefed on a range of advanced indigenous defence technologies, including artificial intelligence‑based solutions developed by Indian Startups, highlighting the growing emphasis on innovation and indigenisation in the defence ecosystem.

 

The Hon’ble RM interacted with Industry Partners – BEML, BDL, L&T, MSMEs and Startups for manufacturing Missile Systems in collaboration with BEL. Interactions were also held with partners from Academia (IIT-M and IISc) for the development of advanced Indigenous technologies.

 

During the briefing, indigenisation initiatives undertaken by Central Research Laboratories, CoE-Electronics Warfare & Photonics, CoE-Communication, CoE-Radar & Weapon Systems & Product Development and Innovation Centre (PDIC) of BEL were showcased. Also, startups and Industry partners exhibited their products. BEL’s significant contributions towards strengthening domestic defence manufacturing and research capabilities were highlighted to the Hon’ble RM.

 

The Hon’ble RM was also apprised of ongoing research and development activities at BEL aligned with major national defence programmes, like the Quick Reaction Surface‑to‑Air Missile Systems (QRSAM), Light Combat Aircraft Mark‑II (LCA Mk‑II), Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA), Project Kusha (MR‑SAM/LR‑SAM), Counter‑Drone Systems, Naval Weapon Control Systems, etc.

 

One of the key focuses of the briefing was the role of BEL in the indigenisation of strategic semiconductor devices, like Secure System‑on‑Chips (SoCs), Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits (MMICs), and Application‑Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs), aligning with the objectives of the India Semiconductor Mission and the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat in critical technology domains.

 

The briefing highlighted that indigenous research and development initiatives are enhancing operational preparedness across land, air, naval, and strategic domains, while reducing dependence on foreign technologies.

 

The Hon’ble RM encouraged the R&D community at BEL to collaborate with Startups, Industry, and Academia for agile product development using the latest technologies in AI and autonomous systems. The Hon’ble RM also stressed upon the need for BEL to prioritise cross-disciplinary collaboration, innovation, and rapid prototyping to create world-class products, aligning with the vision of a Viksit Bharat.

BEL registers growth of 24% in Revenue from Operations during 3rd Quarter of FY 2025-26

Bengaluru, January 28, 2026: Navratna Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has achieved Revenue from operations of Rs. 7121.98 Cr, registering a growth of 23.73% during the 3rd Quarter of FY 2025-26 over the Revenue from operations of Rs. 5756.12 Cr recorded in the corresponding period of the previous year.

Upto Q3 of FY 2025-26, BEL achieved Revenue from operations of Rs. 17302.46 Cr as against Rs. 14538.30 Cr recorded in the corresponding period of the previous year.

Profit Before Tax (PBT) during the 3rd Quarter of FY 2025-26 stood at Rs. 2147.68 Cr, with a growth of 22.43% over the Profit Before Tax (PBT) of Rs. 1754.15 Cr recorded in the corresponding period of the previous year.

Upto Q3 of FY 2025-26, Profit Before Tax (PBT) stood at Rs. 5171.22 Cr as against Rs. 4242.37 Cr recorded in the corresponding period of the previous year.

Profit After Tax (PAT) during the 3rd Quarter of FY 2025-26 stood at Rs. 1590.06 Cr, with a growth of 20.82% over the Profit After Tax (PAT) of Rs. 1316.06 Cr recorded in the corresponding period of the previous year.

Upto Q3 of FY 2025-26, Profit After Tax (PAT) stood at Rs. 3845.32 Cr as against  Rs. 3183.47 Cr recorded in the corresponding period of the previous year.

The order book position of the company as on 1st January, 2026 stood at Rs. 73015 Cr.
