Bengaluru 03 Aug 2026, Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna Defence Public Sector Undertaking (PSU), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Esri India Technologies Private Limited on August 3rd 2026, aimed for Cooperation in Surge Deployment for BEL/Defence Services.

BEL and Esri India have signed MoU to leverage the opportunities in the defence sector by combining BEL’s deep domain expertise in defence electronics and systems integration with Esri India’s GIS, location intelligence and GeoAI capabilities. The two organisations will also work together to ensure the timely availability and deployment of GIS solutions to meet urgent, surge-driven operational requirements across India’s defence initiatives. Esri India will also extend training support to BEL to help them build in-house capability in GIS and GeoAI on its ‘Indo ArcGIS’ platform.

The MoU was exchanged between Shri. Rajnish Sharma, Director (BC) & Addl. Charge Director (Mktg), BEL and Shri. Agendra Kumar, Managing Director, Esri India, in the presence of Smt. Ruchi Pant, GM (TP) and Shri. Anil Kumar Singh, GM (SP).

Major orders received include communication equipment, electro optics, ammunition fuzes, Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) systems, spares, services etc.

Navarathna Defence Public Sector Undertaking, Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), has secured additional orders worth Rs.847 Crore since the last disclosure on 13^th July 2026. Major orders received include electro optics, security operation Centre, seekers, components, spares, services etc.

Navratna Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has achieved Revenue from operations of Rs.5,533.06 Crore, registering a growth of 25.27% during the 1^st Quarter of FY 2026-27 over the Revenue from operations of Rs.4,416.83 Crore recorded in the corresponding period of the previous year.

Profit Before Tax (PBT) during the 1^st Quarter of FY 2026-27 stood at Rs.1,402.83 Crore, with a growth of 8.81% over the Profit Before Tax (PBT) of Rs.1,289.24 Crore recorded in the corresponding period of the previous year.

Profit After Tax (PAT) during the 1^st Quarter of FY 2026-27 stood at Rs.1,048.33 Crore, with a growth of 8.17% over the Profit After Tax (PAT) of Rs.969.13 Crore recorded in the corresponding period of the previous year.

The order book position of the company as on 1^st July, 2026 stood at Rs.72,258 Crore.

Major orders received include communication equipment, avionics, encryptors, tank sub systems, EVM, batteries, components, upgrades, spares, services etc.

Navratna Defence Public Sector Undertaking, Bharat Electronics          Limited (BEL), has secured additional orders worth Rs.1081 Crore since the last disclosure on 25^th May 2026. Major orders received include communication equipment, radars, CBRN protection system, seekers, avionics, upgrades, spares, services etc.

Pune, Jun 04, 2026: Navratna Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) and the Directorate General of Quality Assurance (DGQA) have entered into an agreement for the long term provisioning of Electronic Fuzes as Proof Stock Components (PSCs).

 

The proposed agreement aims at timely supply of various Electronic Fuzes as per stipulated specifications and quality standards to undertake proof firing as well as to undertake evaluation / trials of various weapons and ammunition being procured by the Indian Army.

 

The MoU will also enable DGQA and BEL to establish a framework and road map for long term provisioning of Electronic Fuzes as PSCs and facilitate finalization of Rate Contract.

 

About Directorate General of Quality Assurance (DGQA)

The Directorate General of Quality Assurance (DGQA) is Government Quality Assurance agency under India’s Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, responsible for the Quality Assurance which includes Pre Dispatch Inspection and proof of ammunition and weapon stores as per the relevant Acceptance Test Procedures prior to its supply to the Indian Armed Forces.
